Greenest Building in Britain

Date: 03/09/2009

The Environment Agency's new £10m headquarters in Bristol (Horizon House) has been given the title 'Greenest Building in Britain' after it achieved the highest score ever awarded by the British Research Establishment (BRE).

The building recorded a score of 85.06%, which no other office building has achieved under the BREEAM 2006 OR 2008 code.

Environment Agency Chief Executive Paul Leinster said: “This achievement demonstrates how organisations can work with developers to build exceptional offices which meet their needs whilst reducing their impact on the environment.”

Northcroft were the project Cost Managers for this landmark commercial and mixed tenure project.
